Tara Kirk

As a 2005 Rhodes Scholar finalist with an MA in Anthropological Sciences from Stanford, Tara Kirk is an intellectual powerhouse. In the pool, Tara:
- Is the first swimmer ever to win four straight NCAA breaststroke titles
- Won a silver medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens
Coming from a family of teachers, it is no surprise that Tara dedicates much of her time and energy to being a spokesperson for the Bremerton Schools Foundation. The mission of this non-profit foundation is to support students and teachers by funding learning opportunities, classroom support and scholarships not supported by taxpayer dollars.
"I've learned a lot about myself and life in the pool," says Tara, "but nothing can replace a good education. I want everyone to have the same opportunities to learn that I have had."
Toyota is proud to support Tara not only in her achievements in the pool, but also in her commitment to helping others. By dedicating time to make a difference in her community,
Tara Kirk is an Engine of Change.
How will you be an Engine of Change?
