Aaron Peirsol
Aaron Peirsol may be known for his laid-back attitude on land, but he has a mighty intense backstroke. In the pool, Aaron:
- Won three gold medals in the backstroke at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens
- Holds world records in the 100m backstroke and the 400m medley relay
Aaron helps protect the world's oceans as a spokesman for the international advocacy group, Oceana. He started a fund-raising program for Oceana called Aaron Peirsol's Race for the Oceans. With Aaron's help, Oceana is harnessing the strength of the swimming community to save our oceans.
